Privacy statement

AEROTECT processes personal data of visitors to this website, of people who fill in a form and of users of the AEROTECT platform. This statement explains which data that is, why we process it and which rights you have. Questions can be sent to info@aerotect.eu.
Which data we process
Forms on the website
When you request a quote or contact us, we process the data you enter: name, organisation, email address, phone number and the content of your message. We also store the time, the language of the website and the IP address to prevent abuse of the forms.
Website visits
We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to see which pages are visited and how fast the website loads. These services work without cookies and without storing IP addresses or other data that could identify you as a person. That is why we do not show a cookie banner.
The AEROTECT platform
Platform users have a personal account with name, email address and organisation. The platform also processes Remote ID observations: drone serial numbers, operator registration numbers and positions of drones and pilots. We process these observations on behalf of our customers. The customer is the controller, AEROTECT is the processor. The arrangements are set out in the data processing agreement.
Why we process data
- To answer your request or question and prepare a proposal (performance of a contract or pre-contractual phase).
- To deliver and improve our services (legitimate interest).
- To prevent abuse of forms and the platform (legitimate interest).
- To comply with legal obligations, such as the retention obligation for records.
Who we share data with
We only share data with parties needed to deliver our services: MongoDB Atlas for storing form submissions, Resend for sending email and Vercel for hosting the website. We have data processing agreements with these parties. Data is stored within the European Union unless stated otherwise in the data processing agreement with your organisation. We do not sell data to third parties.
How long we keep data
- Form submissions: up to two years after the last contact, or longer if an agreement follows.
- Platform accounts: for the duration of the agreement with your organisation, and up to six months afterwards.
- Remote ID observations: the period your organisation sets in the platform.
- Records: seven years, based on tax legislation.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification and erasure of your data, the right to restriction of processing, the right to data portability and the right to object. Send your request to info@aerotect.eu. We respond within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security
Traffic between your browser, the website and the platform is encrypted. Platform access is through personal accounts with two-step verification. Access to stored data is limited to staff who need it for their work.
Changes
We may amend this statement. The date at the top indicates when this last happened.
