Drone detection in Germany
Germany is our largest neighbouring market and also the most layered: alongside the federal rules, each state holds its own powers. For a site manager that changes little in practice, because the question remains whether you can show what flew above your site.

Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA)
The LBA implements the European rules. On top of that the federal states and local aviation authorities hold their own powers over exemptions and restricted areas.

EU member state. Regulations 2019/945 and 2019/947 apply directly, including the requirement for direct Remote ID.
- Around solar parks and substations in north-west Germany we see the same reconnaissance patterns as in the Netherlands. The permanent PoE installation is built for that.
- For German defence sites and grid operators the offline variant is the relevant one: the DRID runs entirely on your own server with no outbound connection. Read the deployment models.
- The interface is available in English. We build a German interface on request.

We deliver worldwide. The DRID goes by courier to any address we are permitted to ship to, with placement advice based on your site plan and support remotely. For countries within a day’s drive we come and install it ourselves if you want that.
