Coverage
Drone detection in the Netherlands
The Netherlands is densely populated, runs hundreds of permitted events a year and has an energy network that sits close to where people live. The distance between a drone and a crowd is short, which makes visibility of the airspace worth having.

Authority
Inspectie Leefomgeving en Transport (ILT)
The ILT supervises the drone rules. Operator registration runs through the RDW, and that registration number appears in the Remote ID signal.
Regulation
EU member state. Regulations 2019/945 and 2019/947 apply directly, including the requirement for direct Remote ID.
- Almost every Dutch event permit now contains a drone clause. Without detection that clause cannot be enforced, as we set out in the article on permits.
- The DRID ran at Paaspop, the Four Days Marches, Hullabaloo and the Flower Parade in 2026. The figures per event are in the cases.
- We are based in Groningen, so delivery and installation inside the Netherlands is done by us, usually within days.
