Use case

Drone detection for festivals and events

A festival site is where drones and people come closest together. The permit usually prohibits them, the crowd stands shoulder to shoulder, and until recently nobody could establish who was flying.

Why people fly above a site like this

  • Visitors with a new drone wanting footage of the main stage, usually without knowing it is prohibited.
  • Content creators and local photographers launching from the campsite or the public road, just outside your fence.
  • Press that did not get accreditation and tries it from above anyway.
  • At the larger events: someone testing how far they get before anyone reacts.

What a deployment looks like

Number of units
One unit on a central elevated position covers an average festival site including campsite and car parks. For a route or a ribbon you place one at the busiest point.
Mounting
Lighting mast, aerial platform or tripod. Installed on Thursday, removed on Monday.
Deployment model
Rent with installation by us, or rent and operate it yourself. See rent and buy.
Alerts
SMS to the control room and the security team leader, live picture on the phones of the police.

Where the limit sits

On a site with thousands of phones the 2.4 GHz band is busy. That costs range, particularly on Bluetooth 4. So do not plan on the maximum figure but on the one we give per site.

Your situation not among them?
