Use case

Drone detection for ports and industrial sites

A port or chemical cluster is a site where a small aircraft can have a large consequence. Hazardous materials are handled, sea-going vessels have their own rules, and the site is too large to watch by eye.

Why people fly above a site like this

  • Reconnaissance of cargo flows and storage, sometimes commercial and sometimes not.
  • Smuggling: small packages over a fence is a known pattern in European ports.
  • Imagery of installations by press, activists or insurers.
  • Flights by your own contractors that were never registered and therefore arrive as unknown.

What a deployment looks like

Number of units
A port area is rarely covered by one unit. Plan on one per terminal or cluster, linked into a single picture in the platform.
Mounting
Crane, lighting mast, office roof or tank roof. Permanent, on PoE or 4G.
Deployment model
Buy with a subscription, or offline on your own server if your security policy requires it.
Alerts
Through the API into the port authority control room, with zones per terminal.

Where the limit sits

An industrial site is full of metal and tall structures. That blocks sightlines and shortens range, sometimes considerably. So the figure we give is always based on your site plan rather than a table.

Your situation not among them?

Describe your site and what you want to know. We will say honestly whether Remote ID detection is the right tool for it.
